Alexandra Lee: Possessions
POSSESSIONS explored the relationship between individuals and their most cherished belongings, capturing the emotions and stories connected to each treasured item. Before their portraits were taken, every participant shared the story behind their possession, resulting in a collection of deeply personal and authentic moments.
These portraits were photographed across both Japan and Malaysia, the two nations that Alexandra fondly calls home.
Hailing from Malaysia and residing in Tokyo, Alexandra is a gifted photographer. Her project, Possessions, beautifully captures portraits of 50 individuals alongside their most cherished belongings.
This creative endeavour had already been exhibited in both Tokyo and Malaysia before Artober, and the festival was fortunate enough to feature 24 of her selected portraits from this remarkable project.
