Live Painting by Dan Ropp
Experience the creative process firsthand as Dan Ropp, also known as Fly Surreal Art, brings his vibrant artistic vision to life throughout the evening. Originally from the US and now based in Tokyo, Dan is a self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist specializing in oil paints, acrylics, and spray paint.
Drawing inspiration from both personal experiences and his background as a Navy test pilot, Dan's work blends surrealism with everyday imagery, inviting viewers to see the world from a fresh perspective.

Live Painting by Dan Ropp (Fly Surreal Art)
Dan Ropp, a.k.a. Fly Surreal Art, will be live painting throughout the evening, offering guests a chance to witness his creative process in real time. A former Navy Test Pilot and humanitarian relief pilot, Dan’s unique life experiences influence his vibrant works, created using oil paints, acrylics, and spray paint.

Experience a laid-back environment perfect for connecting with fellow art and culture enthusiasts, enjoying great conversations, and immersing yourself in the creative energy of the evening.
The Event Space
The Event Space at Hibiya Okuroji offers a vibrant atmosphere and will host different exciting events and pop-ups each day, making it a key component of the Artober experience.
Spanning 126.14 m², this space will also provide drinks, refreshments, and a variety of items for sale, including postcards and prints. Celebrate art, creativity, and community with us!
