The Art of Play: A Night of Video Games & Art
Thursday March 20th 2024
Enjoy video game-themed art, fun gaming challenges, and casual conversations with developers and artists in a laid-back, social setting—like hanging out with friends after school and firing up the N64. Whether you're a developer, an artist, or just someone who loves games, this is a night to meet like-minded people and enjoy gaming in a creative space!
Event Highlights
Gaming-Inspired Artwork & Collectibles
In the event space, you'll find a small selection of video game artwork, vintage game flyers, and pixel art by Squarepainter and DotDecor. This is in addition to the 40+ artists exhibiting their work in the two gallery spaces throughout Artober.
Meet Independent Developers & Video Game Artists
Mingle with industry professionals, from game developers to concept artists, in a relaxed, open environment. Whether you're looking to network, exchange ideas, or simply chat about your favorite games, this is the perfect place to do it.
Gaming Challenges (Team & Individual)
Compete in fun challenges, both solo and with friends, including Street Fighter tournaments and other crowd-favorite games on the projector screen.

Beer Pong
Because no gaming night is complete without a bit of friendly competition!
Relaxed and Sociable Atmosphere
Whether you want to play, watch, or just chat, the event is designed to be an open and friendly space where conversations flow as easily as the games.
The First of Many
This is just the beginning! We plan to host regular video game nights at Hibiya Okuroji, so join us for this first edition and meet fellow gamers, developers, and artists who share your passion.

Yurakucho Photo Walk
6PM - 9PM
Also taking place on Thursday evening is a guided photo walk through Hibiya and Yurakucho, led by Adam Benedicto, organizer of the quarterly Tokyo Streets photography exhibition in Shibuya, alongside the hugely talented Daiki Hosaka.
Known for showcasing striking street photography, as well as documentary, landscape, and portrait works, Adam will share his insights and techniques as you capture the city’s vibrant streets, with Daiki also contributing his expertise throughout the walk.
